with the support of CulturesFrance
Founded 10 years ago by tenor Bruno Boterf, Ludus Modalis is a professional ensemble of five to 12 singers. Specializing in polyphonic repertoires of the Renaissance and the early Baroque era, while also making forays into contemporary music, Ludus Modalis has extensively worked on the a cappella polyphony and has mixed timbres and vocal colours to create a wonderfully rich sound. They have also combined male, female and even children’s voices.
