The Gendarmerie celebrates the Sainte-Geneviève in Canada

Sainte-Geneviève, patron of the Gendarmerie Nationale, was celebrated on January 24th, 2007, in the prestigious setting of the Embassy of France in Ottawa.

Mr. Daniel Jouanneau, Ambassador of France in Canada, highlighted the quality of the ties that bind both institutions entrusted with the security of both countries, as well as the excellent collaboration between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Gendarmerie Nationale.


More than fifty of the highest ranked authorities of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Sûreté du Québec, the police service for the city of Montreal, the Ottawa police, and the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, was present at the reception that has now become a tradition.
