The France-Canada Research Fund Celebrates its 10th Anniversary!

On April 28, 2010, the annual meeting of the Executive Committee of the France-Canada Research Fund (FCRF) will take place and will select French-Canadian scientific projects that will receive a grant from the Fund in 2010. The Executive Committee will also define the principal orientations of the Fund for the upcoming years.

This year, the FCRF celebrates its 10th anniversary. For this occasion, a high-level French academic and scientific delegation will join the Executive Committee and will participate in a round-table discussion on French-Canadian scientific cooperation, together with their Canadian, research and innovation partners.

“Promotion of Research in France-Canada Relations”

What should be the role of universities, research organisations, public agencies and companies in the knowledge economy?

How should we create partnerships between the different actors in innovation, research and development?

How can we facilitate the commercialization of research results?

These questions are currently of vital concern to some of the biggest industrialized countries. These issues have a direct impact on their competitiveness in today’s world economy affected by the global crisis.
