The Centers for Studies in France: A better Method to Welcome Canadian Students in France
For immediate release
OTTAWA, April 4th, 2007– In Spring 2007, the Embassy of France in Canada will inaugurate the Centers for Studies in France (CEF). This organisation, in conjunction with Campus France, will encourage Canadian students to study in France.
The CEF will have new methods at their disposal to attract students: scholarships, partnerships, help with visa requests, and alleviated administrative measures. The students can also benefit from better readability of the higher learning and research offer.
The creation of the CEF and Campus France is to facilitate the process and improve the reception of foreign students in France. The integration of administrative procedures and services is part of their strategy to reinforce the appeal of France in this field.
In 2006, 265 000 foreign students studied in France. Approximately 1000 of them were students from Canada.
