The Artist nominated for a 2012 Oscar [fr]

The French film, The Artist, received ten nominations for the 2012 Oscars, which will take place on February 26 at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles.

The French film, The Artist, has garnered nominations in 10 categories for the 84th annual Academy Awards ceremony including Best Picture, Best Actor (Jean Dujardin), Best Supporting Actress (Bérénice Bejo) and Best Director (Michel Hazanavicius).

Following his win at the Golden Globe Awards, Jean Dujardin is nominated for Best Actor in Michel Hazanavicius’s silent film, The Actor.

Another French film, Un Chat à Paris, also received a nomination in the Best Animated Feature category.
