“Femmes 3000” trophies awarded to two French women in Canada
The 4th edition of the Femmes 3000 awards, the theme of which is “Initiatives abroad,” is rewarding the atypical journeys of French expatriates in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
This year, two French women living in Canada will be honoured:
Mrs. Isabelle de Sibert-Dusastre, trustee and organiser of the Randonnée des Neiges Kelly Shires contre le Cancer du Sein for Quebec (Kelly Shires Snow against Breast Cancer), will be the recipient of the “Image de la France” prize;
Mrs. Pascale Bourguignon, illustrator and founder of the publishing house « L’escargot atomique », will receive the “Esprit d’entreprises” trophy.
The Femmes 3000 awards (www.femmes3000.fr) aims at valuing the courage and innovation which the recipients exhibit, as well as their participation in promoting women, and promoting the influence of France abroad.
These prizes will be handed out on Friday, October 27th, in the rooms of the French senate in the presence of several dignitaries, one of which is the Ambassador of Canada in France, Mr. Claude Laverdure.
