Female Diplomats Discuss the New Era in Global Diplomacy

The Centre for International Policy Studies at the University of Ottawa organizes a discussion featuring an all-female panel of ambassadors and high commissioners on the eve of International Women’s Day. The discussion is entitled “Disorder, Disruptions, Directions: A New Era in Global Diplomacy?”

Moderated by Madelaine Drohan, Canadian correspondent for The Economist, panellists Susan le Jeune d’Allegeershecque, British high commissioner to Canada; Natasha Smith, Australian high commissioner to Canada; Kareen Rispal, French ambassador to Canada; Sabine Sparwasser, German ambassador to Canada; and Shakilla Umutoni Kazimbaya, head of mission for the High Commission of Rwanda to Canada, discuss topics such as the role of women in diplomacy.
