The French authorities have taken note of the decision reached by the Supreme Court of Canada on November 13th, 2014, to refuse to hear the appeal of Mr. Hassan Naïm Diab.

This decision will give effect to the provisions of the judgment delivered by the Court of Appeal for Ontario on May 15th, 2014, allowing the extradition of Mr. Hassan Naïm Diab as per the request of the French authorities.

The Embassy of France in Canada wishes to reiterate that at this point in time and with regard to French law, Mr. Hassan Naïm Diab is presumed innocent.
