École secondaire publique Le Sommet in Hawkesbury welcomes, for the very first time, France’s Ambassador to Canada

The Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO) and école secondaire publique Le Sommet are happy to welcome France’s Ambassador to Canada, His excellency Philippe Zeller, November 22, 2013, in Hawkesbury.
The French Ambassador will make a presentation on the economy, geography, and history of the European Union to Le Sommet’s students and to a group of students for école élémentaire publique Nouvel-Horizon, also in Hawkesbury. The presentation will be followed by a question period.
The ambassador’s visit is part of a joint project between the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO) and delegations from European Union countries to improve student’s knowledge of EU countries. The project aims to develop, in the students, a greater intellectual curiosity, and international sensibility, as well as heightened respect for all cultures. Since the project’s inception, la year, French, Belgian, and European Union ambassadors to Canada have visited many CEPEO schools.
