DELF diploma awarded by the Alliance Française of Moncton to 19 School District N°2 French immersion teachers
Last November, the Alliance française of Moncton was recognized as the first official DELF (Diplome d’Etudes en Langue Francaise) and DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue Française) examination center in New Brunswick.
The DELF and DALF are international French language certifications. It recognizes the students’ level of knowledge of French on four levels: comprehension – written & oral, expression – written & oral.
In Canada, more than 3000 candidates receive this diploma.
A partnership between the immersion program of School District 2 and the Alliance française has resulted in the successful completion of the B2 DELF exam by 19 teachers of French as second language. A preparation session had been organized by the Alliance française of Moncton before the exam last May.
Presentation of the diplomas took place on Friday October 7th at the Consulate General of France in Moncton in the presence of Mr. Gilles Courrègelongue, Consul General of France, the Alliance Française of Moncton and of officials of School District2..
The Alliance française of Moncton, founded in 1999, enrols about 250 students each year. The Alliance offers individual instruction as well as group classes for adults or children, from beginner to intermediate levels.
