CSA mission in Canada
The French High Council for Audiovisual (CSA) visited Canada from June 5 to 9 on a fact-finding mission on the topic of Diversity in the Canadian Media. The members of the mission were Mr. Rachid Arhab and Mr. Alain Méar, Presidents of the Diversity Working Group at the CSA, and Mr. Gil Moureaux, Head of the Mission, Directorate of the European and International Affairs.
The purpose of the visit was to examine the methods used by the CRTC in managing diversity related to ethnicity, gender, disability, and socio-professional category. In addition to meeting with the experts from the CRTC, the group met with the representatives from the Canadian media, Canadian Heritage and audiovisual professional associations.
