A typical tourist visit to France [fr]
On 7 November 2016, the Prime Minister will convene an interministerial tourism committee, in line with actions from the government and industry professionals since the Assises du tourisme (tourism conference) in October 2013.
Tourism is a national priority and a strategic issue for French territories. It represents 7.5% of national wealth and almost 2 million jobs. France, which is the world’s number one tourist destination, is facing stiff competition and must remain attractive so that former tourists will return and new ones will arrive.
To do this, concrete measures have been taken to make sure that guests have the best possible holiday and to help them with the practical details of their trip from start to finish.
